Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT exams as ordered by physicians in a fast-paced radiology department. You will greet patients, verify orders, manage contrast administration, and ensure image quality while maintaining equipment and records.

The role requires ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility, Maryland licensure, and BLS. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential to support patient care and workflow in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year CT technologist experience or registry-eligible ARRT CT
  • High School Diploma or GED; ARRT CT program graduate
  • MD Radiologic Technologist License and ARRT CT certification; Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

  • Greets patient, confirms image to be taken and explains procedure to reduce anxiety.
  • Reviews patient history and ensures signed contrast media consent.
  • Positions patient on examination table and monitors patient condition.
  • Introduces intravenous contrast material as directed by radiologist.
  • Controls and adjusts CT equipment to meet image requirements.
  • Maintains equipment and exam room; stores film and inventories supplies.
  • Prepares patient information files with name, date, physician, and exam details.
  • Prepares and submits reports showing number and type of examinations.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.
