Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years successful CT technologist experience.
• Associates degree in radiologic technology; or two (2) years of directly related experience.
• Radiographer License (Hawaii)
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
• Radiologic Technologist Certification
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography

Responsibilities

• Performs CT studies and positions patients to obtain optimal imaging.
• Reviews orders, prepares schedules and consults with Radiologists and RNs as needed.
• Follows safety guidelines and maintains patient privacy and data entry in RIS.
• Operates contrast injector and prepares sterile fields and supplies.
• Assists radiologist during procedures and with biopsy specimen collection.
• Post-processes CT images and transmits to PACS for interpretation.
• Maintains equipment and reports malfunctions; ensures room cleanliness.
• Mentors student technologists and participates in on-call rotations.
• Pursues ongoing continuing education and attends departmental meetings.
