Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment and obtain routine images according to physician specifications and protocols. You will ensure patient safety, prepare contrast, verify orders, and provide patient education while maintaining department standards.

The role requires ARRT certification, Maryland state licensure, CPR/BLS, and an Associate degree or radiologic technology certificate.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or radiologic technology certificate required.
  • ARRT registration and Maryland/VA licensure required upon hire.
  • CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT equipment to obtain routine images per physician specification.
  • Select accurate technical factors for each patient and ensure dose reduction.
  • Prepare contrast and administer per policy; assist CT-guided procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique and prepare exam rooms; ensure safety and comfort.
  • Document patient care in EHR and distribute images to PACS.
