Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest in Houston, TX is seeking a CT Technologist- Non Registered to join our acute care team. You will prepare patients, position for CT imaging and operate CT equipment to help physicians diagnose conditions.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, hold ARRT (R), a Texas radiologic technologist license, and current BLS certification. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT (R) certification is required.
• Valid Texas radiologic technologist license is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Positions patients and explains CT procedure to obtain quality images.
• Operates CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis.

Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

CT Technologist prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to correctly capture the images requested by a physician. Techs operate CT equipment, which produces cross-sectional images of patients’ bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology
• Current ARRT (R) required
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist license issued by Texas Dept of State Health Services required
• Current BLS certification required

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:

• Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Validation Checklist(s).
• Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the Performance Evaluation.
