Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare in Houston seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT exams at a professional level, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care within a fast-paced radiology department. The role works in a team, assisting in other radiology areas as needed.

The candidate should hold ARRT CT and Radiography credentials, BCLS, and an associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology, with ability to work independently and deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• BCLS required.
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credential required.
• ARRT-CT certification required for CT imaging.
• ARRT-R Radiography credential required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams to professional standards with minimal supervision.
• Position patients and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain supplies and equipment ready for procedures.
• Use Radiology Information System accurately.
• Contribute to TQM initiatives and suggest process improvements.
• Coordinate with radiology team and assist other areas as needed.

Job Summary And Qualifications

To perform Computerized Tomography exams at a technical level, which does not require constant supervision, and to assure the responsibility for designated areas, or procedures as required. To assure that the highest degree of quality performance and patient care is delivered to all patients according to their physical needs and limitations. To work within a team-oriented concept, in a fast paced highly productive department. Helps in other areas of the Radiology department when needed.

What you will do in this role

• “Demonstrates competence in all areas of Cat Scan and supervision: positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, technical factors,
• and management of the department.”
• Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available.
• Cleans, sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment.
• Responsible for proper use of Radiology Information System.
• Shall be actively involved in the TQM process and present creative solutions to processes.
• Position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary. Explains CT procedures to patients.
• Maintains necessary continuing education requirements for license.
• Other tasks as assigned.
