Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking a CT Technologist (Radiologic Technologist II) to operate CT scanners and X-ray machines, producing cross‑sectional images to support diagnosis and patient care.

Responsibilities include patient preparation and positioning, monitoring safety, assisting radiologists, maintaining equipment, and keeping ARRt registration current; requires ARRT‑accredited program graduate and state licensure.

Qualifications

  • One year of acute radiology experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment required.
  • ARRT certification and ARRT CT eligibility per state rules.
  • Graduate of ARRT-accredited program.
  • State radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required.
  • Maintain ARRT registration and CPR/BCLS certification at hire.
  • Proficient computer skills and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and position them for CT and X-ray procedures.
  • Operate CT scanners and X-ray machines to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Assist radiologists and administer contrast as needed.
  • Maintain CT/X-ray equipment and ensure infection control protocols.
  • Keep ARRT registry current and document procedures.

Hours:8 hour or 10 hour shifts

Location:Southern Regional Medical Center – Riverdale, GA

We are seeking aCTTechnologist,sometimes referred to asa RadiologicTechnologist II (Rad Tech).As a CT Technologistyou will specialize andbe responsible foroperating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images ofpatient’sinternal organs and tissues. You willassistin diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on theComputer Tomography (CT)table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have
  • Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings tooptimizeimage quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safetyat all times
  • Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
  • Assistother radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may alsoassistin administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures
  • Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produceaccurateimages
  • Responsible formaintainingradiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocolsregardinginfection control and hygiene
  • Maintainyour register status for the American RegistryofRadiologicTechnologists (ARRT)
Qualifications
  • 1. One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
  • 2. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.
  • 3. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
  • 4. Graduate of a program accredited by ARRT.
  • 5. Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
  • 6. Effective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is required.
  • 7. Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire..
  • 8. Proficient computer skills.#LI-DF2
