Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital. You will join a collaborative care team delivering imaging services with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT, plus a year of radiology experience. You will work within a busy radiology department, adhering to ALARA principles and participating in ongoing education and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining ALARA and diagnostic quality.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms and equipment, report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep and post-care clearly using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety, provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using proper venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed; finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
