Job summary

UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT to join our MCR CT Scanning team. This is a full-time, nights position with a 72-hour per pay period schedule and an onsite work arrangement.

The CT Technologist will perform CT imaging in accordance with scope and standards, educate patients, administer contrast as needed, monitor patient status, adjust imaging parameters, and ensure image quality while adhering to safety and quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Registered RT and registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card in-hand before start date.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes results and identifies issues with image quality.
• Takes action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning or repeating procedures.
• Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
