Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is expanding its Neurological Institute with a new facility on the Main Campus. We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to support imaging across the institute and adjacent departments.

You will ensure high-quality imaging, accurate study verification, and patient education in a fast-paced medical setting. The role requires ARRT CT certification within a year, ARRT RT(R) in good standing, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or ARRT pathway.
• ARRT R.T.(R) certification in good standing.
• CT Certification (ARRT) within one year of hire.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross certification.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Acquire patients chart data/requisition and verify correct room setup and any contraindications.
• Verify that the CT study ordered matches diagnostic needs.
• Educate patients about procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding.
• Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including technical and clerical documentation.

Caregiver schedule:

6:30a-3p, 7a-330p, 730a-4p, 8a-430p and 830a-5p. No weekends

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Acquire patients chart data/requisition and review both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems and contraindications to the study.
• Verify the study ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
• Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including the technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) in good standing
• Obtain certification in Computed Tomography (CT) Certification [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT) within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
• Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $34.50

Maximum hourly: $49.50
