Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital in Florida is seeking a CT Technologist to join a team delivering patient-centered care using advanced imaging technology. You will produce cross-section images, interpret scanning instructions, prepare and operate equipment, and position patients to capture high-quality studies.

Shifts include days/evenings/nights/weekends from 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. Minimum qualifications include ARRT certification, CT certification within one year of hire, Florida license

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist (ARRT) in good standing.
• Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) within one year of hire.
• Current Florida state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards while performing procedures.
• Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, patient information, networking and informatics.
• Document in charts and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation.
• Provide copies of imaging studies.
• Perform routine, emergent, invasive and special procedures.
• Abide by all regulations that apply to state and national standards.

As a CT Technologist, you will produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of various medical issues. Utilizing your advanced training and knowledge, you will accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. This role is critical in the overall treatment of our patients, making you an invaluable asset to the Cleveland Clinic system.

A caregiver in this role works days/evenings/nights/weekends from 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
• Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire
• Current Florida state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting

Physical Requirements:

• Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests and to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team and ability to ensure operational efficiency; ability to problem solve and make decisions; ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.
• Special Demands: Needs minimal sustained direction in assessing needs, carrying out departmental and professional responsibilities; self-starting and self-motivating; working hours may exceed eight (8) hours per day and is based on what is needed to accomplish work at hand.
• Physical Requirements: Requires sitting at a workstation or desk; requires standing; work may include occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Work requires finger dexterity and eye hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.
