Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and provide a supportive patient experience. The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, plus BLS, with a minimum of 1 year radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT credentials.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely while maintaining diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonably achievable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are finalized in RIS/PACS (transfers/retrieval, CDs, prior exam retrieval).
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, and elevate issues to the supervisor.
