Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City seeks a CT Technologist to join the David H. Koch Center radiology team. You will perform CT imaging on patients of all ages, operate scanners, and ensure safety and comfort while administering contrast as required.

The role requires an ARRT CT certification, NJ radiography license, and 2+ years CT experience, with a focus on quality and patient-centered care in a high-scale cancer care environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
• Minimum 2 years CT experience; GE imaging systems experience preferred.
• New Jersey Department of Health License in Diagnostic Radiography.
• IV Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of CT imaging procedures on patients of all ages.
• Operate CT scanners and related equipment safely per policies.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients and monitor safety and comfort.

Role Overview:

• Perform a variety of CT imaging procedures on patients of all age groups with minimal supervision.

• Operate CT scanners and associated equipment safely, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Explain imaging procedures to patients and monitor patient safety and comfort throughout exams.

• Administer contrast media (IV and/or oral) following established protocols.

• Conduct imaging in compliance with departmental protocols and quality standards.

• Accurately enter documentation into all MSK and Radiology systems.

• Support general radiology procedures as needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Associate's degree / Certified Vocational Training or Graduate from a 2-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.

• ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography (CT).

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience preferred, including experience with GE imaging systems.

• New Jersey Department of Health License in Diagnostic Radiography.

• IV Certification required.

Additional Information:

• Location: David H Koch Center for Cancer Care, 530 E. 74th St, NYC

• Schedule: 5 Days a week for first 5 months of training, then potential 3 days a week.One weekend a month required for the 3 day schedule.
