Job summary

TriCities Hospital in Virginia seeks a Lead CT Technologist to obtain high-quality CT images, follow established scanning protocols, and ensure patient care is delivered safely and professionally.

The role includes operating CT equipment, performing QC tests, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked imaging room. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package through HCA Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) and ARRT (CT) registered or eligible.
• Three years of experience as Radiologic Technologist.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent with appropriate National Registry.

Responsibilities

• Obtains quality CT images and follows established scanning protocols.
• Operates CT equipment safely and in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
• Performs computer operations for documentation and charges; records data on requisitions.
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepares CT scanner, performs quality control tests, and maintains inventory and room cleanliness.

Job Summary and Qualifications

1. Obtains quality CT images. Demonstrates competence in following established scanning protocols and exercises ability to adjust protocols as required.
2. Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates CT equipment safely.
3. Demonstrates ability to perform all necessary computer operations to ensure proper examination documentation and charges. Records pertinent data on CT requisition at all times.
4. Renders patient care in professional and courteous manner.
5. Prepares CT scanner and perform quality control tests. Monitors inventory of supplies and maintains room cleanliness and neat appearance.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
• ARRT (CT) Registered- must obtain within 6 months of hire or start in position
• Three year experience as Radiologic Technologist
• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent with appropriate National Registry(ies).
