Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Lead CT Technologist to perform various imaging procedures and ensure quality patient care. The role includes mentoring staff, coordinating assignments, and implementing proper imaging techniques in a supportive environment.

This position requires a graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology Program, ARRT-CT registration, and at least 3 years of experience. Comprehensive benefits and support for ongoing education are provided.

Overview

Day Shift 7:30am-5pm

The Lead CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. Lead CT technologists are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with director/manager, physician, staff or patient issues.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate care for patient populations in the department.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflecting the patient\'s age-specific needs.
  • Assess patients\' and families\' ability to learn and incorporate teaching throughout the CT procedure.
  • Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.
  • Assure adequate staffing according to volume, flexing when necessary.
  • Coordinate daily technologist assignments.
  • Assure that all exams are completed and put in take status.
  • Operate all department equipment safely and properly.
  • Teach and mentor radiology students.
  • Implement proper exposure techniques and positioning.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects and contraindications for administration.
  • Help manage supplies in a cost-effective manner.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology Program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ARRT-CT registered.
  • A minimum of 3 years of CT experience.
  • If chosen to be cross trained from another modality, must be registered within 6 months from registry eligibility.
