Job summary

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a CT Technologist for a new Free-Standing ER opening in April 2027. You will perform CT exams, prepare supplies, manage patient history, and ensure quality care with ALARA principles.

You will participate in on-call rotations, maintain licenses, and support quality initiatives while delivering compassionate, patient-centered service in Springfield, Tennessee.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology is required.
  • Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 6 months.
  • 1 year post-graduate experience preferred but not required.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.
  • Prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.
  • Take patient history and retrieve any necessary orders or prior images.
  • Provide patient history, signs, and symptoms appropriate to the exam to the radiologist.
  • Complete documentation.
  • Coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.
  • Support ALARA principles.
  • Inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
  • Interact and communicate with physicians, patients, and family members.
  • Start IVs for contrast administration.
  • Use the power injector.
  • Contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.
  • Maintain licenses, certifications, and accreditations as required.
  • Daily upkeep of departmental work areas.
  • Promote customer service initiatives by adhering to ICARE values.
  • Support and participate in quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.
  • Comply with quarterly targeted metrics (Kronos, HealthStream, PACS).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development and patient ages served.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Tech performs CT scans, providing the highest level of customer service and image quality.

What You Will Do in This Role
  • You will perform CT exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.
  • You will prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.

  • You will appropriately complete documentation.
  • You will coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.
  • You will support ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
  • You will inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
  • You will interact and professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and family members.
  • You will start IVs for contrast administration.
  • You will use the power injector.
  • You will contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.
  • You will maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required as outlined in job qualifications.
  • You will handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking, etc.).
  • You will promote customer service initiatives by adhering to the ICARE values.
  • You will support and participate in quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.
  • You will comply with quarterly targeted metrics (i.e., Kronos, HealthStream, PACS, etc.).
  • You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.
What Qualifications You Will Need
