Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Texas is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography scans for diagnostic purposes. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, and position patients to obtain high-quality images.

You will also participate in data entry and quality assurance activities. This role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, current MRT license or eligible, ARRT-CT or NMTCB(CT) certification, and 1+

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Licenses/Certifications: BLS/ACLS, Texas MRT license or temporary license; ARRT-CT or NMTCB(CT) certification, or equivalent radiologic technologist credentials.
Experience: Minimum 1 year CT Technologist experience or 2 years Radiologic Technologist with CT education/experience; ability to lift/move patients.

Responsibilities

Performs CT scans: prepares patients, explains procedure, administers contrast when needed, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, ensures scan quality.
Enters and monitors patient data.
Performs quality assurance on CT equipment.
Assists with ACR/accreditation applications as needed.
Takes emergency call within the department.
May work weekends or float to other locations as needed.
