Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology and 1 year of radiologic technologist experience.
• Current NYS license and registration as Radiologic Technologist.
• Certification to administer contrast media intravenously (NYSDOH) at appointment.
• ARRT certification at appointment and throughout tenure.
• BLS certification from ECMCC approved provider.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT imaging following prescribed protocols and post-processing.
• Sets up radiologic room and CT equipment for basic and complex studies.
• Records laboratory values and communicates results as needed.
• Administers intravenous contrast under supervision of a physician.
• Reviews images for technical quality and determines need for retakes.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates patient scheduling.
• Assists in QA activities and ensures patient safety protocols.

Education

Radiologic Technology degree or diploma

1 year radiologic technologist experience

NYS Radiologic Technologist license

ARRT certification

NYSDOH contrast media injection certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
