Job summary

AdventHealth in Riverview, FL seeks a PRN Radiology CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT examinations following orders and safety protocols. You’ll review patient history, administer IV contrast, position patients, and work with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and continuity of care.

Guided by ALARA principles, you will document in EMR/PACS, educate patients, and maintain efficient exam throughput while adhering to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv.
• 1+ year of related work experience.
• ARRT-CT preferred; BLS required; RT(R)(ARRT) required.
• Ability to learn and perform radiology procedures with CT and radiography equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of CT procedures and CT scanners.
• Ability to learn Radiology software packages, scanners and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations in accordance with orders and departmental protocols.
• Review patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and contraindications.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast material and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Position patients accurately and safely, maintaining ALARA principles.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other health care providers to ensure imaging and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation within EMR and PACS.
• Educate patients about the exam and manage workflow to minimize delays.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adapt protocols for patients of all ages.
