Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a CT Tech II to perform diagnostic imaging with precision and safety. You will operate CT equipment, adjust parameters, assess image quality, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver timely results.

Candidates should have ARRT CT certification or NMTCB CT with Florida licensure, minimum two years of CT experience, and BLS. The role is on site, day shift, with the opportunity to contribute to quality patient care and safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of either: An accredited school of Radiologic Technology; or An approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Mandatory minimum of two (2) years’ CT experience.
• Experience in advanced imaging areas such as 3D Lab or IR imaging, or Cardiac imaging.
• Site proctor/preceptor for onboarding new hires and cross-training.
• Dual imaging roles with current proficiency in secondary modality.
• Valid Florida radiologic licensure.
• Current AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Must meet ARRT (R) and CT or NMTCB (CT) or NMTCB (CNMT) with ARRT CT criteria.

Responsibilities

• Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
• Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Complies with state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
• Positons patient and equipment to obtain high quality images for interpretation.
• Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Demonstrates proficiency in contrast administration with or without power injectors.
• Performs venipuncture and manages IV access for contrast administration as prescribed.
• Assists in supervision and training of new technologists.
