Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a CT Technologist II Acute to join the Presbyterian Medical Center imaging team. The role supports inpatient, ED and OR imaging, with weekend shifts and 7pm-7am on Saturdays and Sundays and 3pm–3am on Mondays, in a high-acuity multi-ICU trauma center.

Required ARRT CT certification within 6 months of hire, knowledge of CT scanner operation, and strong communication skills. A high school diploma or GED is essential; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required; must obtain ARRT CT within 6 months of hire
• Prior acute care experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic CT procedures by preparing patients and operating CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans
• Work with inpatient, outpatient, ED and OR cases including biopsies, drainages, spinal injections and trauma-related imaging

What We’re Looking For:

What You'll Do

The CT technologist II Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in regional multi-ICU trauma medical center locations. The technologist is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department & the operating room procedures to include biopsies, drainages, cryogen, spinal injections, cardiac, trauma, etc.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree ,preferred.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required. Applicable state license, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates CT equipment.
