Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a CT Tech II Acute for our REMARKABLE acute care team at the NEW Clement's Ferry Free Standing Emergency Department. You will prepare patients and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in a trauma-focused center.

The ideal candidate has ARRT CT certification, 1 year CT experience, and strong communication and analytical skills to support inpatient, ED, and OR cases.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; 2 Year/Associate Degree preferred.
• Experience: 1 year CT experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT CT RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT; state license preferred.
• Additional Skills: Analytical, communication, basic computer skills, patient-age adaptation; operates CT equipment.

Responsibilities

• The CT technologist II Acute assists physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in regional multi-ICU trauma medical center locations.
• Responsible for inpatient, outpatient, ED and OR procedures including biopsies, drainages, cryogen, spinal injections, cardiac, trauma, etc.

What You'll Do

The CT technologist II Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in regional multi-ICU trauma medical center locations. The technologist is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department & the operating room procedures to include biopsies, drainages, cryogen, spinal injections, cardiac, trauma, etc.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree ,preferred.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required. Applicable state license, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required):Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates CT equipment.
