Job summary

Ballantyne Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a CT Technologist II Acute to join our REMARKABLE acute care team. Schedule: 40 hours weekly, nights, with rotating call and holidays.

You will assist physicians, operate CT equipment, and support inpatient, ED, and OR procedures. The role requires ARRT CT certification (or to obtain within 6 months), 1 year CT experience preferred, and a high school diploma or GED with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/Associate degree preferred.
• Experience: One year CT experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT CT certification; must obtain CT within 6 months of hire; state license preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication, age-appropriate care, patient prep, and CT operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic procedures and operate CT equipment to obtain scans.
• Prepare patients and manage inpatient, outpatient, ED, and OR CT procedures (biopsies, drainages, injections, trauma).
• Ensure compliance with ARRT CT certification/registration and state licensing requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior acute care experience preferred

What You'll Do:

The CT technologist II Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in regional multi-ICU trauma medical center locations. The technologist is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department & the operating room procedures to include biopsies, drainages, cryogen, spinal injections, cardiac, trauma, etc.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.


• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.


• Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required. Applicable state license, preferred.


• Additional Skills (required): Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates CT equipment.
