Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform computed tomography procedures, adhering to ALARA principles and ensuring patient safety. The role may advance to CT Technologist II based on skills and experience, with opportunities for professional growth and ongoing education.

Responsibilities include imaging, medication administration when permitted, and assisting licensed practitioners in interventional CT procedures while maintaining documentation and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB certification required on hire.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB prior to first day of employment.
• Must progress to level 2 with advanced certification within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures under licensed practitioner supervision.
• Prepare and/or administer medications as prescribed while ensuring safety.
• Identify patients, verify history and ensure proper exam documentation and confidentiality.
• Educate students and healthcare staff on imaging procedures and safety measures.
• Assist interventional CT procedures as needed.
