Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine; required.
• CT registry with ARRT within one year of hire; required.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of growth and development principles as applicable to patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests, verify orders, refer questions to Radiologist, and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify patients, explain procedures, and prep with proper documentation.
• Interview patients for medical history and review EMRs for pertinent data.
• Perform CT scans with sterile technique and assist Radiologist during procedures.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and record contrast type/amount.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist on abnormal findings.
• Provide basic patient care and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain radiation safety for staff and patients.
• Operate radiology computer system and document contrast administration.
• Rotate shifts, including call back, holidays, and weekends.
