Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or radiologic technology certificate required/approved
• ARRT registration required; CPR/BLS within 90 days
• MD state radiologic licensure or eligibility
• Successful CT certificate or cross-training preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to obtain routine images per physician specifications and CT protocols.
• Maintains clean, safe, and prepared work environment; prepares contrast administration areas using aseptic technique.
• Performs IV access and administers contrast per policy; supports procedures under CT guidance.
• Transports patients to CT, prepares room, verifies orders and patient prep; communicates with patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Documents care in EHR; distributes final images to PACS for interpretation.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and staff training.
• Adheres to ARRT standards, Joint Commission, and organizational regulations.
