GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore seeks a Radiologic/CT Technologist to perform CT procedures, operate CT and radiography equipment, prepare exam areas, position patients and adjust settings for quality diagnostic images. Works under general supervision and assists physicians during examinations.

Requirements include two years post-high school training in an approved diagnostic imaging program, ARRT registry and Maryland licensure with CPR certification. Two years radiology experience or one year CT.

Qualifications

• Completion of two years post-high school training in an approved school of diagnostic imaging.
• Must have passed a qualifying examination given by an appropriate credentialing agency.
• National registry through the ARRT and MD licensure with CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Prepares patient for examination and sets up CT, data processing, and ancillary equipment.
• Calculates and selects proper technique and protocols using ALARA for patient safety.
• Assists physicians during procedures with equipment, contrast materials, and medications; maintains sterile technique when applicable.
• Transfers image data to PACS and V‑RAD environments for review and interpretation.
• Maintains records and ensures files are completed with correct information.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and proper stocking of supplies.
• Draws blood and introduces IVs; assists in scheduling CT examinations for optimal utilization.
• Demonstrates CT equipment operation and theory to students and staff; participates in teaching programs.
• Performs related clerical tasks such as processing films, answering phones, and scheduling patients.
