Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans, prepare patients, and communicate with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging. The role includes shift work, adherence to radiation safety, and documentation of procedures.

Expect responsibilities across inpatient and outpatient settings with emphasis on patient care, accurate histories, and teamwork within the radiology department. Sign-on bonus eligible for this position.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine; ARRT CT registry within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing an exam.
• Contacts ordering provider when there are discrepancies.
• Identifies patient using two identifiers and explains procedures briefly.
• Prepares patients for procedures with explanations and documents.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
• Maintains radiation safety and sterile technique per policies.
• Rotates shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends.

Education

ARRT Radiology or NMTCB certification; ARRT CT registry within 1 year of hire
