Job summary

HARR Harrison Community Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures in the CT Department, rotating through diagnostic radiology as assigned, while upholding radiation safety and patient care standards.

The role requires completion of a medical imaging program and state radiography licensure with ARRT/NMTCB certification within 6 months of hire. BLS and background checks are required. On-site within Cadiz, OH.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Radiography certification with ARRT or NMTCB within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess current or temporary Radiography license as required by the state board where services will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment, and materials for patient exams and maintains sterile technique.
• Performs exams per Physician’s orders and communicates procedures to patients; relays patient history to Radiologist.
• Observes patient and equipment, transports and assists patients as needed.
• Documents patient status in radiology/CT procedures and notes variances for quality improvement.
• Maintains stock and performs general office duties; ensures proper film labeling and image quality.
• Abides by radiation safety practices and departmental safety policies at all times.
• Participates in patient safety training and reporting of medical errors.
• Produces diagnostic quality CT images and performs procedures under physician direction, including emergency studies when required.
• May perform IV insertion and blood draws; administers contrast as protocol; uses PACS to ensure image readiness for radiologist and referring physician.

Education

Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program

ARRT or NMTCB certification within 6 months of hire

Current or temporary Radiography license as required by state board
