Job summary

BARNS Barnesville Hospital in Ohio is seeking a CT technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures and rotate through radiology duties. The role requires radiography certification and state licensure with a focus on radiation safety and patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, obtaining patient histories, and ensuring quality imaging while adhering to safety protocols. 40 hours per week, with duties across CT and radiology as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Radiography certification with ARRT or NMTCB within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess current or temporary Radiography license as required by state board where services will be provided.
• One year of CT technologist experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment, and materials for patient exams, ensuring sterile technique.
• Performs examinations per Physician’s orders and communicates procedures to patients.
• Observes patient and equipment, reports any unusual occurrences, and assists patients as needed.
• Documents patient status in radiology/CT chart and notes protocol variances.
• Maintains proper film labeling and adheres to infection control policies.
• Administers IV/Oral/Rectal contrast per protocol and radiologist orders.
• Utilizes PACS to ensure exams are available for radiologist review.
• Adheres to radiation safety and general safety for patients, visitors, and staff.

Education

Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program
