Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will work with a collaborative care team to ensure safe procedures and strong patient communication.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography).
• Certifications: ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography).
• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep to reduce patient anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock equipment.
• Organize daily workflows and support department operations and compliance.
