Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Grayslake Outpatient Center and Freestanding ER. This casual/as-needed role features rotating shifts, including holiday coverage, to ensure imaging services are available when needed.

You will produce diagnostic CT images, apply ALARA principles, verify orders, and maintain documentation while upholding safety, quality, and patient experience standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process.
• Produces diagnostic-quality CT images using approved protocols and standards.
• Apply professional judgment within protocols to optimize image quality.
• Reviews images and initiates corrective action when needed.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate documentation in medical records and PACS.
• Ensures positive patient experience and safety in all procedures.

Education
