Job summary

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley seeks a qualified Radiologic Technologist to operate CT and related imaging procedures for diverse patients in a community hospital. You will produce high-quality images, utilize PACS and teleradiology, and maintain accurate records while safeguarding patient privacy under HIPAA guidelines.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and CT-specific credentials, with emphasis on patient safety, equipment calibration, and collaboration with radiologists

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• ARRT registration as RT (R)(CT) or RT (R) required.
• State licensure/registration in the state of practice as applicable.
• Fluoroscopy license and venipuncture certification preferred where required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment and performs imaging procedures including CT, general radiography and fluoroscopy.
• Produces cross-sectional images and reformatted sagittal and coronal images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images and maintain accurate records.
• Maintains image and patient data integrity in compliance with HIPAA and privacy guidelines.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment and manages supply inventory.

Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Essential Functions:

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information.
• Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
