Job summary

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is seeking a CT technologist to operate CT equipment and perform radiology procedures. The role requires ARRT RT (R)(CT) or RT (R) ARR T certification, CA licensure, and BLS.

The candidate will handle PACS/teleradiology transfers, maintain patient records, and ensure HIPAA compliance while supporting fluoroscopy and general radiography as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred).
• ARRT registration in RT (R)(CT) or RT (R) ARR T required.
• CA licensure to practice radiologic technology; CT certification required/advanced in OR and HI preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Venipuncture certification required.
• Venipuncture (IV) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation.
• Perform CT, general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures.
• Use PACS and teleradiology system to transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintain accurate patient records, billing data, and protect HIPAA confidentiality.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manage supply inventory.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements:

• Education and Work Experience:
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR
• Facility Specific License/Certifications:
  • Venipuncture (IV) certification: Required

Essential Functions:

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
