Job summary

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment, acquire cross-sectional images, and support radiology services in a community hospital setting. You will perform CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy with a focus on patient safety and image quality.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT RT certification, CA licensure where applicable, and BLS. A relocation incentive may apply for eligible applicants.

Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): RequiredRadiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CAAdvanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CABasic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipmentVenipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Facility Specific License/Certifications:Venipuncture (IV) certification: Required

Essential Functions:

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
