Job summary

Oviedo Medical Center in Florida seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT procedures and radiographic exams on a variety of patients. You will operate CT equipment safely, adhere to ALARA principles, and ensure high image quality while maintaining professional relations with staff and physicians.

The role requires ARRT registration, state licensure, and BCLS certification within 30 days of starting. Shifts include nights on a rotating schedule with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) required; CT preferred.
• State Registered Radiologic Technologist credential.
• Vocational school graduate in radiologic technology.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures and other radiologic exams as assigned.
• Maintain ALARA standards and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Position patients accurately and administer contrast when required.
• Establish rapport with staff and participate in call schedule.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Days and shift for position are: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 7p-7a

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying computerized ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Operates the CT equipment safely and maintains A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing all types of procedures. Is current in Radiologic (X-ray) positioning and can perform X-rays in ER and department when asked. Participates in the establishment of scan protocols and in execution of specific applications, and responsible for contrast administration. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Position requires Call.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) required; (CT) preferred

• State Registered Radiologic Technologist

• Vocational School Graduate

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
