Qualifications

Responsibilities

Role Summary

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They prepare, execute, and analyze imaging data to support diagnosis and treatment, assisting licensed practitioners as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access under licensed practitioner guidance.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data storage and transfer, and perform post-processing if required.

• Perform prescribed CT procedures and demonstrate commitment to departmental goals.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) and ARRT-CT.
• Graduate from a Radiologic Technology training program; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
