Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time CT technologist to operate CT equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality imaging with strict safety standards. You will assist with contrast administration under Radiologist direction and perform post-processing of images for accurate interpretation.

Required credentials include a Wisconsin Radiographer license and ARRT CT registration, with BLS compliance.

Qualifications

  • Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification and licensure requirements include WI Radiographer license and ARRT registrations.

Responsibilities

  • Operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate imaging procedures with proper safety practices.
  • Obtains medical history and verifies requisitions against physicians' orders for exam accuracy.
  • Positions patient, selects scanning factors, and ensures imaging quality with radiation protection.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media under Radiologist direction and assists with scanning techniques.
  • Post-processes images and labels files with patient name, MRU number, and scan location.
  • Maintains records and enters data into radiology information system; documents billing codes.
  • Identifies equipment issues and conducts QA tests; reports malfunctions.
  • Performs patient handling tasks including lifting; adheres to safety policies.
  • Delivers age-appropriate care and follows department policies and procedures.
