Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Casual CT Technologist to support outpatient imaging services in Wisconsin. The role is part-time with a fixed first shift (8:00am–4:30pm) and no weekends, nights, or holidays.

You will perform CT imaging across clinic and urgent care settings, maintain patient safety, and ensure accurate documentation. Ideal candidates hold a Wisconsin radiographer license, ARRT RT and CT registrations (within 18 months), and BLS (within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Wisconsin radiographer license required.
• ARRT RT and CT registrations required within 18 months.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months unless not required by department.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to perform basic to advanced diagnostic procedures including brain, chest, abdomen and pelvis imaging.
• Obtain patient history and verify physician orders for exam accuracy.
• Position patients and select scanning factors with proper radiation protection and safety.
• Administer contrast media as directed and assist in scanning techniques.
• Post-process images and label with patient data and location for interpretation.
• Maintain records and enter data into RIS; document billing codes for procedures.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA tests; report malfunctions.
• Serve as a preceptor for students and staff; support accreditation efforts.
• Assist with patient positioning and transporting as needed while following safety protocols.
