Qualifications

• Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
• Registered Technologist (RT) registration from ARRT.
• CT registration from ARRT to be obtained within 18 months.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA to be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment for diagnostic procedures.
• Obtains patient medical history for exam accuracy.
• Positions patients and selects proper scanning factors.
• Administers contrast media under Radiologist’s direction.
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations.

Skills

Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety

Competent in IV and venipuncture

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work independently

Intermediate computer skills

Education

Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
