Qualifications

• Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
• ARRT RT registration and CT registration.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Typically requires 2 years of CT technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to perform basic to advanced diagnostic procedures.
• Obtain medical history and verify orders for exam accuracy.
• Position patient and adjust scanning factors for optimal images and safety.
• Prepare and administer contrast media under Radiologist supervision.
• Post-process images and label accurately with patient identifiers.
• Maintain radiology records and enter data into the RIS; document billing codes.
• Identify equipment issues and participate in QA and calibration tests.
• Serve as a resource to staff and educate on imaging processes.
