Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a CT Technologist to join our radiology team. This full-time position offers compensation up to $50 per hour and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The role involves preparing patients, operating CT equipment, administering contrast, and ensuring QA with support duties as needed.

Minimum qualifications include 2+ years as a Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT or CMRT certification, and BLS. A strong commitment to patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist.
• Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
• Position the patient and adjust technical factors to produce quality diagnostic studies.
• Operate CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of the desired anatomy.
• Administer contrast media as directed by the referring physician.
• Monitor the patient for adverse drug events and report accordingly.
• Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.
