Job summary

South Texas Health System seeks a CT Technologist to perform Computed Tomography exams and conduct required quality control procedures. The role includes reviewing orders with radiologists, screening patients for contrast contraindications, and coordinating with hospital staff on patient care concerns.

Responsibilities also include maintaining proficiency, and working weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and on-call status as needed to ensure continuous patient imaging services.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification required.
• 2 years CT and/or Radiographer experience preferred.
• Membership in related professional organization preferred.
• Must comply with STHS Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Computed Tomography exams and quality control procedures as required by the manufacturer.
• Evaluate orders, verify with radiologist when needed, ensure correct exam is performed.
• Screen patients for contraindications to oral or IV contrast.
• Interact with hospital staff to address patient care concerns and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain performance skills and work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call when needed.
