Job summary

Connections Healthcare Staffing is recruiting a CT Technologist for a 100+ bed facility located near Hendersonville, NC. You will work Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, on-site. A sign-on bonus of $8,000 is offered.

Responsibilities include reviewing history and orders, educating patients, administering contrast when ordered, and ensuring safety and quality through standard checks. ARRT CT certification and BLS are required; CT certification must be obtained within one year if not

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Licenses: ARRT with CT certification; if not CT certified, must be certified within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician’s orders.
• Educates patients on procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes appropriately.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; implements safety standards and performs quality control checks.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions.
• Positions patients and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes imaging results, identifies quality issues, and takes corrective action, incl. repositioning patients and repeating procedures if needed.
• Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
