Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology required.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the CT Technologist ensures the efficient operation of CT scanners. Responsibilities include organizing and performing CT examinations professionally and efficiently.

The role involves positioning patients for high-quality imaging, operating equipment safely following radiation protection guidelines, practicing sterile techniques when necessary, and handling clerical duties related to customer service. Travel to other sites may be required.

About You

We welcome candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • CAMRT CT courses or CT Imaging Certificate (asset)
  • CT experience (preferred)
  • IV experience or willingness to be trained in intravenous injection and use of contrast injectors (asset)
  • High mental, visual, and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of other languages, especially French (asset)

Hours
  • Part-time long assignment; 60 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 17 months
  • Call and shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends
Compensation and Benefits

$36.88 - $44.11 hourly

Benefits may include health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance, along with a defined benefit pension plan.
