Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a CT Technologist to our CT Scan department at our Baptist Clay location. As a CT Technologist at Baptist, you will work closely with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety, aligning with our mission to make hope, healing, and well-being accessible to every person as an expression of God's love. Our CT Technologists are dedicated to delivering high-quality imaging services, ensuring both the comfort and safety of patients. Responsibilities include operating and calibrating GE equipment, preparing patients for procedures (including administering IV contrast and patient positioning), providing clear explanations and education about the process, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

The primary responsibility of a CT Technologist is to ensure physicians and care teams receive high-quality images for diagnoses or treatment assessments. Our CT Technologists work with GE equipment, collaborate closely with radiologists, and focus on accurate imaging and patient safety.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing high-quality CT procedures
  • Maintaining good relationships with co-workers and other departments, with a positive, comforting demeanor with patients
  • Maintaining compliance with educational and health requirements
  • Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, in accordance with regulations and policies

Education Required: Vocational School

Preferred Education: Associate's Degree

Experience:

  • 1-2 years Radiology experience
  • Less than 1 year Radiologic Technologist experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience working in a hospital setting

License and Certification:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
  • CPR certification required
  • Registered Technologist in Computer Tomography (ARRT-CT) required
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist required
