Job summary

UPMC Memorial is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to support the CT Department. This full-time, day-shift role (3pm–11pm) includes rotating on-call and weekends with a sign-on bonus of $20,000 for a 2-year commitment and loan repayment up to $9,000 for December 2023 or later graduates.

ARRT/CNMT credentials and BLS/CPR are required. The CT Technologist will perform CT imaging with established protocols, manage RIS/ISITE documentation, and ensure accurate coding and charges.

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist; CNMT preferred.
• AR RT registry eligible with 6 months of hire; CNMT registry within 6 months.
• BLS/CPR required; CPR/ABC standards per AHA within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures using established protocols and contrast administration.
• Operate advanced CT imaging equipment and document data per protocol.
• Ensure proper coding and RIS/ISITE archiving; verify charges.
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and assess patient risk.
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and reduce anxiety.
• Adjust protocols with independent judgment for diagnostic CT imaging.
• Demonstrate teamwork and professional interaction with patients and staff.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and follow universal protocol; document history.
