Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA is seeking a CT Technologist - CT Scan on a Per Diem basis with 80-hour, variable shifts. Under supervision, the CT Technologist performs diverse diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring quality and safety for patients and staff.

This role collaborates with radiologists and supports departmental improvements while remaining flexible to staffing needs. The position requires licensure, ARRT certifications, BLS, and CT-specific certification within

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist school or program.
• Upon hire: California Radiologic Technologist license.
• Upon hire: BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: ARRT Radiography.
• Within 1 year: ARRT CT.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to department standards using age-specific criteria.
• Serve as a customer service representative to patients, families, the public, and medical staff.
• Participate in quality control, performance improvement, and organizational improvement activities.
• Act as a clinical and technical resource to other technologists and radiologists.
• Participate in call schedule and remain flexible with shifts to meet staffing needs.

Job description

CT Technologist - CT Scan at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 80-hour, variable shifts.

Under the direction of the Department Director, the day-to-day supervision of the Lead Technologist and/or Manager and in close collaboration with the Radiologists, the CT Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities according to department standards utilizing age-specific criteria. Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff. Participates in quality control, performance improvement, and organizational improvement activities. Serves as a clinical and technical resource to other technologists and to the radiologists. Participates in call schedule and remains flexible with job assignments and shifts to meet staffing needs of the department.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist school or program.
• Upon hire: California Radiologic Technologist.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging center performing pediatric and adult CT scans.
