Job summary

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT scans and related imaging procedures under department standards, using age-specific criteria and maintaining patient comfort.

You will collaborate with radiologists and fellow technologists, contribute to quality control and performance improvement efforts, and participate in the department call schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• California Radiologic Technologist license required on hire.
• National Provider BLS certification required on hire.
• ARRT Radiography certification required on hire.
• Within 1 year of hire: CT certification.

Under the direction of the Department Director, the day-to-day supervision of the Lead Technologist and/or Manager and in close collaboration with the Radiologists, the CT Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities according to department standards utilizing age-specific criteria. Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff. Participates in quality control, performance improvement, and organizational improvement activities. Serves as a clinical and technical resource to other technologists and to the radiologists. Participates in call schedule and remains flexible with job assignments and shifts to meet staffing needs of the department.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging center performing pediatric and adult CT scans.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist school or program.
• Upon hire: California Radiologic Technologist.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.
