Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a CT Technologist to perform all computed tomography procedures for diagnosis and treatment in a high-volume radiology department.

The role requires extensive patient interaction across all ages, collaboration with radiologists, strict adherence to safety, radiation protection, and infection control standards, and accurate RIS documentation. Weekend shifts are included in the schedule.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• ARRT certification required.
• Advanced CT Registry within 1 year of hire date required.
• AHA CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all CT procedures as outlined in Radiology Section.
• Assess patient age-related needs and coordinate with Radiologist.
• Review orders, prepare patient, explain procedures, and answer questions.
• Ensure accurate data entry into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Maintain safety, infection control, and Universal Precautions.
• Monitor exam timeliness and QA of exams prior to radiologist review.
