Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will perform CT procedures according to department protocols, obtain histories, explain procedures, and maintain ALARA principles.

The role requires independent operation of imaging equipment, attention to infection control, accurate RIS/PACS documentation, and collaboration with the imaging team to support patient flow and quality care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of radiology experience.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per protocols and capture diagnostic images while ALARA.

Job description

Role:

CT Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and ensuring patient safety at a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities Include

• Performing CT procedures according to department protocols, capturing diagnostic images while maintaining ALARA principles.
• Operating imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques as needed, and ensuring equipment cleanliness and maintenance.
• Obtaining clinical histories, verifying orders, and explaining procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Providing patient comfort, privacy, and age-appropriate care throughout examinations.
• Administering contrast agents, positioning patients, and applying necessary safety measures.
• Reviewing images for quality, repeating exams if necessary, and documenting findings accurately in RIS/PACS systems.
• Monitoring patient conditions, responding to emergencies, and supporting department workflows.Maintaining a clean, organized environment, supporting compliance, and assisting with clerical and transport tasks.

Qualifications Include
